Verified Quotes: Share quotes with proper attribution and sources whenever possible

What We Don't Allow
Fabricated Quotes: Creating or sharing quotes that are falsely attributed to someone
Hate Speech: Content that promotes hatred or violence against individuals or groups
Harassment: Targeting, bullying, or intimidating other community members
Spam: Repetitive, irrelevant, or promotional content that disrupts the community
Copyright Infringement: Sharing content that violates intellectual property rights

Reporting & Moderation
How to Report Content
If you encounter content that violates our guidelines, please report it using one of these methods:
Use the "Report" button on any quote or comment
Contact our moderation team directly at: moderation@italkabouty.com
Use the admin panel if you're a community moderator
Our Moderation Process
• Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours
• We investigate all reports thoroughly and fairly
• Actions taken depend on the severity and frequency of violations
• Users can appeal moderation decisions through our appeals process
Enforcement Actions
When community guidelines are violated, we may take the following actions based on the severity and frequency of the violation:
1. Warning
For minor first-time violations, we may issue a warning to educate users about our guidelines.
2. Content Removal
Violating content will be removed from the platform. Users will be notified about the removal and the reason.
3. Temporary Suspension
For repeated violations or serious misconduct, accounts may be temporarily suspended (1-30 days).
4. Permanent Ban
Severe violations, hate speech, or repeated serious misconduct may result in permanent account termination.
Special Policies
Quote Accuracy & Attribution
As a platform focused on quotes and statements, we have special responsibility for accuracy:
Always provide sources when available
Mark uncertain or disputed quotes appropriately
Include context when necessary for understanding
Distinguish between paraphrases and direct quotes
Political Content
Political quotes and discussions are allowed but must follow these guidelines:
Focus on the content of quotes, not partisan attacks
Provide context for controversial statements
Respect that political perspectives vary widely
Avoid using the platform for campaign purposes
Historical Content
Historical quotes may contain outdated or offensive language:
Historical quotes are allowed for educational purposes
Provide historical context when sharing sensitive content
Use content warnings for potentially disturbing material
Focus on the historical significance, not promoting harmful ideologies
Appeals Process
If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you can appeal the decision:
Email appeals@italkabouty.com within 30 days of the action
Include your username and a description of the issue
Provide any additional context or evidence
Our appeals team will review your case within 5 business days
You'll receive a response with our final decision
Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our community, legal requirements, or platform features. When we make significant changes:
We'll notify users through the platform and/or email
We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
Major changes will have a grace period before enforcement begins
